Growth continues as Vertali hits two-year milestone
Vertali, the global IT consulting, services and software company, celebrated its second anniversary in September 2024. “We’ve exceeded all our growth targets and business expectations,” says Nick Davies, Finance Director. “Most importantly, we’re continuing to deliver for a growing list of clients worldwide in the areas most important to them: from optimizing operations, mainframe migration projects and improving performance to cyber security and embedding cyber resilience.”
Nick adds, “Our amazing growth story is thanks to the talented people across all our departments and teams, and their commitment to delivering for clients.” This milestone was celebrated and future plans discussed at a recent two-day Technical Conference and team-building event.
From a core team of five people in September 2022, the company has grown in only 24 months to 28 full-time employees, plus a global network of numerous consultants and technical specialists in the UK, Europe, APAC, and North America.
“This constitutes one of the world’s largest pools of mainframe skills and resources available for hire today,” says Gary Dulon, Vertali’s Services Delivery Director. “We’re also building a pipeline of brand new technical resources, educating and mentoring in all areas of mainframe technology through our New to Z (NTZ) initiative.”
‘Your gateway to mainframe excellence’
“Today, Vertali has more than 40 active clients and many more projects in the pipeline,” says Linda McGrath, Sales Director. “Our people are working on projects in all four continents, in virtually every region across the globe.” Clients represent some of the world’s biggest names in key industry sectors such as finance, insurance, government, retail and utilities.
One year ago, Vertali announced its formal expansion into Asia Pacific markets with the launch of Vertali APAC Pty Ltd, based in Melbourne and serving the ASEANZKJ countries of Australia, Southeast Asia, New Zealand, Korea and Japan. “We’re seeing a continued appetite in this region for mainframe operations and modernization,” says Dallas Newton, Regional Director, Vertali APAC. “This means high demand for expertise, skills and support.”
“In the last year we’ve also focused on developing strategic alliances globally, developing a network of likeminded partners to help deliver even more for clients,” adds Andrew Penlington, Vertali’s Channel Partner Development Manager.
Security remains a key client requirement. “To date, Vertali security consultants have carried out more than 130 security assessments for clients, more than 90 z/OS penetration tests, 50 application pen tests, more than 20 vulnerability scans, and more than 60 vendor product pen tests,” says Mark Wilson, Technical Director. “And demand is still growing, with clients clearly recognizing the caliber of our people in securing and then protecting their operations.”
