New to mainframes? We want to meet you

Felix Scott shares his experience of joining the New to Z team

Vertali’s New To Z (NTZ) is our five-year pathway to develop new talent. We identify potential then provide 6-9 months of supervised preparation followed by 12-18 months of mentoring and experience. This is the best way to learn: self-guided and self-motivated learning combined with practical problem-solving and hands-on experience. After three years, NTZs become professional mainframers. A member of our 2024 NTZ intake was named as one of the Top 4 Influential Mainframers of 2025. You can meet the 2025 NTZ intake here.
