We have the experience
Our people know IBM Z technology inside out. We have multiple engineers with industry-leading experience across LinuxONE, z/VM, Linux, mainframe storage, infrastructure, security, migrations, upgrades and support.
And we’ve already supported clients on LinuxONE projects, including helping a large UK organization with its storage migration.
Having our own environment further strengthens that capability, giving our teams direct access to current IBM hardware for continuous testing, learning and development. This approach enables more and faster logical partitions and systems so we can build more systems and work with faster LPARs.
Our IBM LinuxONE 4 Express gives Vertali a dedicated environment based on real mainframe hardware rather than emulated infrastructure. That means our people can develop both software and hardware skills, work with real HMC software, and gain practical experience with current IBM technology.
It also provides an important training environment for our New to Z (NTZ) mainframers, helping them to build the skills clients will continue to need.
Vertali’s LinuxONE environment gives our teams somewhere to develop and test before making changes to a live client system.
Where appropriate, we can recreate environments or issues, investigate potential fixes and test changes in isolation before they are introduced into a client environment.
Our software engineers and architects also use the platform to develop tooling for hardware and software migrations, helping to improve project speed and accuracy.
