Design, deploy, and maintain IBM z/VM environments across multi‑LPAR infrastructures.

Provide deep technical expertise in z/VM virtualisation, CP, CMS, RACF integration, and performance tuning.

Support provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of virtual servers and workloads.

Troubleshoot complex issues across z/VM, TCP/IP stacks, network routing, and storage connectivity.

Implement automation, monitoring, and operational improvements to enhance system reliability.

Collaborate with Linux, z/OS, storage, and network teams to ensure seamless cross‑platform integration.

Produce technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and operational runbooks.

Participate in capacity planning, performance analysis, and platform modernisation initiatives.

Provide consultancy to stakeholders on best practices, platform optimisation, and future‑state architecture.

Support security hardening, patching, and compliance activities.

Strong hands‑on experience with IBM z/VM administration, engineering, or consultancy.

Deep understanding of z/VM CP, CMS, DIRMAINT, RACF, and virtual networking concepts (VSWITCH, VLANs).

Proven ability to troubleshoot complex virtualisation, networking, and performance issues.

Familiarity with enterprise storage (FCP, EDEV, DASD) and SAN connectivity.

Strong scripting or automation capability (REXX, shell scripting, Python desirable).

Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

LinuxONE platform experience (deployment, performance tuning, secure service containers).

Knowledge of KVM on IBM Z, containerisation (OpenShift on Z), or hybrid cloud integration.

Experience with z/OS, z/OSMF, or cross‑platform mainframe environments.

Exposure to DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure‑as‑code.

Understanding of enterprise security, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
